Choose one 12ml pot in Tone 1–5, from darkest to lightest. Try the colours on alien skin, extravagant fungus caps or creature markings among earthy armour and basing colours.
For a creature, consider a middle tone for the main colour and darker blue beneath plates or inside folds.
