Description
Choose your tone of Warhammer Tone Pro Necrolith Bone, supplied as one 12ml pot. The family brings together muted brown, beige and pale bone, useful inspiration when a miniature has rather more skulls than pockets. Try the family for skeletons, claws, teeth and carved bone ornaments, or use the quieter beige tones on weathered stone details. On a skull, deeper colour around the eye sockets and jaw could give the paler forehead and cheekbones more definition. Repeating the palette across a few trophies can help tie a character’s equipment together.
The tones run from 1, the darkest, to 5, the lightest. Choose how far along that progression you want to go: an aged-looking bone scheme could keep more of the brown visible, while a brighter treatment could make greater use of the pale end. Warhammer Tone Pro paints support basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing and drybrushing, so you can choose between carefully placed accents and an approach suited to ranks of textured skeletal detail.
Explore Gnarlwood for neighbouring brown applications or Hive Fleet Purple for the suggested creature-detail combination.
