Description
Warhammer Tone Pro Carmine Blades brings a rich crimson palette to miniature painting, running from muted dark reds towards softer red highlights. Choose one 12ml pot in your preferred Tone 1–5. Think deep folds in a commander’s cloak, ceremonial armour or a banner that needs a little weight and drama. It is a useful family to consider when you want red to feel rich rather than fiery.
The Tone Pro system numbers each family from Tone 1, the darkest, to Tone 5, the lightest. For cloth, try keeping the darker colours deep in the folds and reserving the lighter tones for the raised edges. On armour, a smaller bright highlight can help pick out the shape of each plate while leaving plenty of that crimson visible.
Tone Pro paints are designed for basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing and drybrushing. For this family, controlled layering is a good place to start: choose how far you want to push the contrast, then build towards the lighter tones where the model needs the most attention.
