Ogor Mawtribes: Hunters and Sabrefangs

Hunters range far ahead of the main Ogor Mawtribes warpath, tracking prey and surviving for weeks away from the rest of their tribe. Despite their enormous size, these experienced outdoorsmen are remarkably skilled at slipping through enemy territory and positioning themselves for an ambush.

Each Hunter carries an enormous crossbow capable of punching through multiple foes, but they remain every bit as dangerous when the fighting closes to arm’s reach. Accompanied by swift and bloodthirsty Sabrefangs, the unit captures the wilder side of the Ogor Mawtribes and brings a distinctive band of ranged hunters to Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Assembly and Painting

These multipart plastic miniatures require assembly and are supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.

Hunters and Sabrefangs provide plenty of enjoyable painting opportunities, from weathered skin, furs and battered equipment to the huge crossbows carried by the ogors. The lean Sabrefangs also offer a striking contrast to their bulky masters and help give the unit the appearance of a seasoned hunting party.

Battlefield Role

Hunters with Sabrefangs give an Ogor Mawtribes army a hunting unit capable of operating ahead of the main warpath. Their ability to deploy through terrain reflects their skill at setting ambushes. Their crossbows allow them to threaten enemies from a distance before closing in.

The Hunters are particularly well suited to pursuing large quarry, with their ranged weapons proving especially effective against Monsters. Meanwhile, the accompanying Sabrefangs add further close-combat presence, making the unit useful for players looking to complement the straightforward aggression of their ogors with a more flexible band of trackers.

With three hulking marksmen and two predatory companions, Hunters and Sabrefangs make a characterful addition to any Ogor Mawtribes collection. They offer something visually and tactically different while retaining all the brute strength and hunger expected of the Gulping God’s followers.
