Real Grade

Real Grade Gundam kits bring intricate engineering and detailed surface design to the compact 1/144 scale. They are a good choice when you enjoy smaller display models but want a more involved build than most High Grade kits provide.

Inside the box you will typically find layered armour, strong colour separation, carefully designed articulation and numerous small details. Models such as the RG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0 show how much detail can be included at this scale. The completed kits look impressive without paint, but they also reward careful panel lining, decals and additional finishing work.

If you like the 1/144 format but want a more straightforward project, browse our High Grade Gundam kits. For a larger build with a stronger shelf presence, Master Grade is the natural next comparison. You can see every available grade on the main Gundam model kits page. Our beginner’s guide to building Gunpla also explains tools, assembly and simple finishing techniques.
