MGSD kits combine the characterful proportions of an SD Gundam with the detail and engineering associated with Master Grade models. You still get the compact body and larger head that define the SD style, but the building experience includes more intricate construction, layered parts, expressive articulation and carefully designed mechanical details.

This category includes models such as the MGSD Freedom Gundam and MGSD Gundam Aerial. Their strong colour separation and detailed components create an impressive result without requiring paint, while panel lining and other finishing techniques can bring out even more of the surface detail. They are a great choice when you want a compact display model but still enjoy a more substantial build.
