Warhammer Colour Yriel Yellow Layer Paint provides a bright, warm yellow for building smooth highlights and stronger colour across painted miniatures. It works particularly well over established yellow base colours, adding definition to armour, clothing, banners, markings and raised details.
The Layer formula supports thin, controlled applications without covering the shading underneath. For example, Yriel Yellow can brighten larger yellow panels gradually or pick out selected edges and prominent features. This helps create a cleaner transition from deeper yellow base colours to brighter final highlights.
The 12ml pot features the new Warhammer Colour branding, replacing the previous Citadel Colour presentation.
Using Yriel Yellow Layer Paint
First, shake the pot thoroughly before use. Next, apply Yriel Yellow in thin, controlled coats over a suitable yellow base colour. Then, allow each coat to dry before adding another. Yellow often benefits from several light applications, so building the colour gradually will help produce a smoother and more consistent finish.
For sharper definition, use a fine brush along armour edges, folds of fabric, symbols and other raised details. You can also combine Yriel Yellow with a lighter yellow or pale neutral paint to create a brighter final highlight.
Each pot contains 12ml of water-based paint. Finally, clean brushes with water after use.
