Warriors of Chaos: Chaos Knights 

Chaos Knights are veteran warriors of the Dark Gods who ride into battle encased in heavy plate armour, mounted upon massive Chaos-tainted warhorses protected by equally imposing barding. Armed with great lances and carrying brutal shields, they embody the cold, relentless strength of a Warriors of Chaos army.

This new plastic kit brings the classic Chaos Knight silhouette firmly into Warhammer: The Old World. Rough armour, ragged furs, heavy metalwork and dangerously spiked details give every rider a suitably barbarous appearance, while the armoured steeds make the completed regiment look every bit as formidable as it should.

Product Features

This multipart plastic kit builds eight Chaos Knights for a Warriors of Chaos army in Warhammer: The Old World.

The kit includes interchangeable lances, helmeted heads and shields, giving you plenty of scope to vary the appearance of your riders. Two complete sets of command components are also included, allowing you to build Champions, standard bearers and musicians within the regiment.

The new Chaos Knights and Chaos Warriors kits have been designed with extensive cross-compatibility. Heads, shields, shoulder pads and weapons can be exchanged between the two sets, opening up even more modelling possibilities. Spare hand weapons from the Chaos Warriors kit can also be used to equip your Knights with ensorceled weapons instead of lances.

Assembly and Painting

The Chaos Knights kit requires assembly and is supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue is recommended for assembly, while Citadel Colour paints can be used to bring the regiment to life.

These miniatures offer plenty for painters to enjoy, from the broad armour panels and weathered metalwork to the heavy horse barding, wooden shields, fur cloaks and ragged cloth. The rough textures and sculpted battle damage also make the kit well suited to aged metallic finishes, worn heraldry and suitably grim Chaos colour schemes.

Battlefield Role

Chaos Knights provide a Warriors of Chaos army with a powerful mounted force. Their armoured warhorses and great lances give them the visual appeal of dedicated shock cavalry, ready to crash into worthy opponents while the slower ranks of Chaos Warriors and Marauders advance behind them.

They are a natural bodyguard for a mounted Champion of Chaos and fit particularly well into armies built around heavily armoured warriors, cavalry and other elite followers of the Dark Gods. Whether fielded as a single imposing regiment or divided into smaller groups, they add speed, presence and unmistakable Warriors of Chaos character to the army.

With eight imposing riders, interchangeable components and excellent compatibility with the new Chaos Warriors kit, the Chaos Knights are an enjoyable unit to personalise.
