Description
Warhammer Colour: Contrast Skeleton Horde 18ml
Skeleton Horde Contrast Paint 18ml from Warhammer Colour creates a warm, aged bone colour with natural shading and definition. It is ideal for painting skeletons, skulls, teeth, horns, parchment, aged cloth and weathered organic details.
Contrast paint is formulated to flow across a light basecoat, settling more strongly into recesses while leaving raised areas lighter. This helps establish the base colour, shadows and highlights in one controlled application while preserving the miniature’s sculpted detail.
The 18ml pot features the new Warhammer Colour branding, replacing the previous Citadel Colour presentation.
Using Skeleton Horde Contrast Paint
Apply Skeleton Horde over a smooth, fully dry white or light-coloured basecoat. Load the brush evenly and guide the paint across one section at a time, allowing it to collect naturally in the recesses without forming heavy pools.
For bone, teeth and horns, work along the shape of each detail and draw excess paint away from flatter surfaces. This keeps the raised areas lighter and creates stronger definition around joints, cracks and textured sections.
Allow the paint to dry completely before touching the area again. Additional Skeleton Horde can be applied selectively to deepen shadows, while a light bone-coloured highlight can sharpen prominent edges and raised details.
Skeleton Horde can also be used to glaze or tint other paints when a warm, aged finish is required. Thin, controlled applications make it easier to build the effect gradually.
Supplied in an 18ml pot. Its water-based formula allows brushes to be cleaned with water after use.
