Warhammer Colour Contrast Paints

Warhammer Colour Contrast paints are a popular choice when you want to add colour and definition efficiently. Applied over a suitable light undercoat, the paint settles differently across raised and recessed areas, helping to create variation, shading and highlights across textured surfaces.

The collection contains colours for almost every type of project. You will find bold choices such as Ultramarines Blue and Aeldari Emerald, natural shades such as Aggaros Dunes, and subtler options including Apothecary White. They work particularly well on fabric, fur, skin, scales and other areas with plenty of surface detail.

Warhammer Colour is replacing the Citadel Colour name across the range, but the formulation and familiar colour names remain compatible. Contrast paints can form the main part of a quick scheme or be combined with traditional Base paints and Layer paints for additional control and highlights.
