Warhammer Colour Base Paints

Warhammer Colour Base paints are the starting point for many miniature colour schemes. They establish the main colours across armour, clothing, skin, weapons and scenery, giving you a dependable foundation for shades, highlights and finishing details.

You will find a broad choice of colours, including Corvus Black, Caledor Sky and Retributor Armour, alongside familiar favourites such as Averland Sunset, Caliban Green and Bugman’s Glow. This variety covers everything from bright army colours to leather, wood, earth and darker uniforms.

Warhammer Colour is the new branding for the paints previously sold as Citadel Colour, so pots carrying either name work together as part of the same painting system. Once your base colours are in place, add definition with Shade paints and pick out raised areas with Warhammer Colour Layer paints. Our guide to starting miniature painting explains how these stages fit together.
