Warhammer Colour: Base Castellan Green 12ml

Description

Warhammer Colour: Base Castellan Green 12ml

Warhammer Colour Castellan Green 12ml is a highly pigmented Base paint that provides a deep, muted green foundation with strong coverage. Its earthy tone works particularly well for armour, uniforms, cloth, vehicles, equipment and natural details, while providing a solid starting point for richer green colour schemes.

The highly pigmented Base formulation is designed to establish an even foundation before shades and highlights are added. Castellan Green can cover a complete area or be applied selectively to individual panels and details where a dark green base colour is required.

The 12ml pot features the new Warhammer Colour branding, replacing the previous Citadel Colour presentation.

Using Castellan Green Base Paint

Apply Castellan Green over a clean, fully dry undercoat using thin, controlled coats. Allow each coat to dry before adding the next so the finish remains smooth and the miniature’s sculpted detail stays clear.

For armour, clothing and vehicle panels, build an even foundation while leaving deeper recesses slightly darker where appropriate. This creates natural separation between adjoining surfaces and gives later shading greater definition.

Once the basecoat is dry, suitable Shade paints can be guided into recesses to deepen shadows. Lighter green Layer paints can then be applied to raised areas and edges, gradually building contrast while keeping Castellan Green visible through the mid-tones and deeper sections.

Castellan Green is also useful for smaller details such as pouches, straps, weapon casings and equipment. A fine brush gives greater control when working around neighbouring colours or picking out individual components.

Supplied in a 12ml pot. The water-based formula allows brushes to be cleaned with water after use.
