Description
For cloaks with a suitably sombre feel, explore Warhammer Tone Pro Craventhrone Cloak. The family travels from dark, muted blue-green through greyed teal. Choose one 12ml pot in Tone 1–5, with Tone 1 the darkest and Tone 5 the lightest. The colours suggest weathered banners, spectral robes and the worn cloth of a wandering warband.
Try establishing deep shadows between cloth folds, then working towards lighter tones on their upper ridges. Leave plenty of dark colour visible for a brooding miniature, or extend lighter layers across more of the fabric for a paler spectral scheme. The right tone depends on how light or dark you want that part of the model to appear.
Tone Pro’s supported techniques include layering and glazing. The dedicated Shading Medium can turn the colours into shades or glazes, offering another approach when you want to build a blue-green colour in translucent layers over your existing paintwork.
