Description
Choose your tone of Warhammer Tone Pro Blackstone Void, supplied as one 12ml pot. The family spans black, neutral greys and white, worth considering when light and shadow are doing most of the work. Try the darker end for black armour or cloaks, using restrained grey accents to define edges and folds. The lighter end suggests white fabric, pale armour panels or sharp finishing highlights. It could also form the basis of a monochrome miniature, where changes in tone help separate clothing, equipment and skin without a wider colour palette.
The numbering is especially useful here: Tone 1 is the darkest, while Tone 5 is the white end of the family. For a black surface, you could leave most of the area dark and limit the lighter colours to selected details. For a pale surface, plan deeper greys around recesses and overlaps. Tone Pro paints support basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing and drybrushing, offering several ways to explore that full tonal range.
