The Lord on Chaos Dragon is a spectacular plastic centrepiece for a Warriors of Chaos army in The Old World. Towering over the battlefield on tattered wings, the immense two-headed Dragon can carry either an imposing Chaos Lord or a twisted Sorcerer, giving you two very different ways to represent one of the most powerful figures in your Chaos host.

Product Features

The centrepiece of the kit is the enormous two-headed Chaos Dragon itself. Rather than simply appearing mutated, this is a true Dragon of Chaos, with a lithe, sinuous body, battle-scarred flanks and ragged wings that suggest a creature that has survived countless conflicts.

You can build the Dragon carrying a Chaos Lord, clad in Chaos Armour and crowned with a huge horned helm. He wields an enormous sword, while trophies collected from defeated enemies decorate both his armour and his throne.

Alternatively, the Dragon can carry a Sorcerer of Chaos. Leaner and more twisted than his counterpart, the Sorcerer carries a warped staff while a mighty tome of forbidden knowledge floats chained alongside his saddle.

Whichever character you choose to place on the Dragon, the other can be assembled separately on foot, giving you an additional character miniature for your Warriors of Chaos collection.

Assembly and Painting

The Lord on Chaos Dragon is the sort of model that can easily become the centrepiece of an entire Warriors of Chaos collection. The Dragon offers enormous areas of scales, weathered skin and tattered wings to work with, while its battle scars and corrupted appearance provide plenty of opportunities for experimenting with different textures and colours.

The riders provide a different challenge, with heavy Chaos Armour, trophies, horns, ragged fabrics and the distinctive eight-pointed iconography of the Dark Gods helping tie the miniature into the wider Warriors of Chaos range.

The kit requires assembly and is supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue is recommended for assembly, along with Citadel Colour paints for bringing your chosen servants of the Ruinous Powers to life.

Battlefield Role

A Chaos Dragon provides a suitably imposing mount for one of the most powerful leaders in a Warriors of Chaos army. Choosing the Chaos Lord places an intimidating armoured warrior atop the monstrous creature, while the alternative Sorcerer combines the speed and savagery of the Dragon with a character capable of wielding the Winds of Magic.

Either version makes a natural focal point for a Warriors of Chaos force, looming above ranks of Chaos Warriors, Marauders and Chaos Knights as they march south from the Chaos Wastes.
