For fans of The Lord of the Rings, the set captures the character of Rohan particularly well. Assembly and Painting

The Rohan Battlehost requires assembly and is supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue and Warhammer Colour paints are recommended.

Rohan offers plenty of opportunities to work with natural colours and textures. Different horse coats, weathered leather, earthy fabrics and wooden equipment can give each warrior an individual appearance, while consistent colours across shields, armour and clothing help unite the army. Théoden provides a natural centrepiece on which to spend extra time highlighting armour, fabric and finer details.

Battlefield Role

The Rohan Battlehost combines a commanding hero with mobile cavalry and flexible infantry. The Riders of Rohan provide speed and striking power, while the Warriors of Rohan support them with a mixture of ranged and close-combat weapons.

Together, these units provide a strong introduction to the character of a Rohan army. New players can become familiar with several different troop types, while established commanders can reinforce their ranks with additional mounted and foot warriors.
