Orks: Wartrakk

The Wartrakk is a fast, lightly armoured Ork attack vehicle built to bring mobile firepower to the battlefield. Updated for the latest edition of Warhammer 40,000, this modern take on a much-loved Ork vehicle combines crude engineering, aggressive styling and plenty of character.

A hulking Ork steers the Wartrakk towards the next fight while a Nob rides behind him, operating the rack of rokkits mounted over its tracked rear section. Heavy armour plates, knobbly tyres and rugged tracks give the machine a suitably ramshackle appearance, as though it could smash through a wall without slowing down.

Assembly and Painting

This push-fit plastic miniature requires assembly and is supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue may be used to secure the components permanently, while Citadel Colour paints are recommended for completing the model.

The Wartrakk offers plenty of enjoyable surfaces for painting and weathering, from battered armour panels and exposed machinery to its rokkit rack, tyres and heavy tracks. As the model carries no fixed clan markings, it can easily be painted to match Bad Moons, Evil Sunz, Deathskulls or any other established or home-grown Ork force.

Tactical Use & Strategic Role

The Wartrakk provides fast, mobile fire support for an Orks army. Its rokkit launcha allows it to threaten heavily armoured targets while its speed helps it move into useful firing positions, harass enemy units and support advancing Warbikes.

Although lightly armoured, the Wartrakk is not limited to shooting. Its Ork crew carry choppas, allowing the vehicle to join the fighting once it has closed with the enemy. It fits particularly naturally into a Speedwaaagh!-themed collection, but its flexible support role makes it useful in many different Ork armies.

Fast, noisy and held together by typically questionable Mek workmanship, the Wartrakk captures everything enjoyable about Ork vehicles in one compact model. It is an ideal addition for collectors who want more speed, rokkits and mechanical character in their Waaagh!
