Orks: Warboss

Every Waaagh! needs an Ork who is bigger, tougher and louder than everyone else, and that is precisely where the Warboss comes in. These hulking leaders have fought their way to the top through brute strength and an instinctive talent for violence, keeping the Boyz in line while seeking out the largest enemy available for a proper scrap.

This kit marks the first time the classic Ork Warboss has been released as a multipart plastic miniature. It combines the familiar silhouette of an enormous greenskin commander with plenty of suitably ramshackle equipment, trophies and customisation choices, making it easy to create a boss with a personality of his own.

Product Features

The Warboss can be equipped with either a brutal choppa or a power klaw, accompanied by a combi-shoota for adding some dakka before the fighting begins. He can also be built holding the chain of an eager Attack Squig, while an Ammo Grot stands ready with additional firepower close at hand.

Alternative heads, boss poles and weapon gubbinz provide further ways to personalise the miniature. Additional details such as optional buckles, kneepads and ammunition belts allow you to give your Warboss a distinctive appearance that suits his clan or the wider character of your Ork army.

Assembly and Painting

The Ork Warboss requires assembly and is supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.

Between the Warboss’s battered equipment, scavenged armour plates, crude weapons, trophies and accompanying smaller creatures, the kit offers plenty of characterful painting opportunities. It is particularly well suited to clan colours, checks, hazard stripes, rust effects and the mismatched metal finishes that give Ork collections their unmistakable appearance.

Battlefield Role

A Warboss is a powerful close-combat leader for an Orks army in Warhammer 40,000. He can lead a mob of Boyz into the thick of the fighting, where his presence encourages the greenskins around him to fight even harder. The choice between choppa and power klaw also allows you to represent your preferred style of Orky brutality.

Whether he is advancing at the head of a green tide or climbing out of a Trukk alongside his chosen mob, the Warboss provides an imposing focal point for the army and a natural commander for an expanding Waaagh!

With classic weapon choices, an Attack Squig, an Ammo Grot and an unusually broad selection of cosmetic parts, this kit captures everything an Ork leader should be. It is a wonderfully characterful miniature to build, customise and place at the centre of an Orks collection.
