Orks: Boyz

Boyz are the heart of almost every Ork army. These heavily muscled warriors gather in unruly mobs, filling the battlefield with gunfire before piling into close combat with their choppas. This new multipart plastic kit updates these iconic warriors with more imposing proportions, plenty of character and an armoury that lets the mob fight effectively at any range.

Every Boy carries a shoota, slugga and choppa, so the unit no longer needs to choose between ranged weapons and close-combat equipment. The result is a mob that looks properly prepared for an Orky scrap, with firearms, crude blades, scavenged gear and battered armour carried into battle together.

Product Features

This multipart kit offers plenty of options for making your mob stand out. Three Boyz can carry heavier weapons in the form of a big shoota, rokkit launcha and burna, giving the unit a varied collection of unmistakably Orky firepower without forcing any of them to leave their choppas behind.

The Nob leading the mob has an even broader selection of equipment. He can be built with a kombi-skorcha alongside either a kustom choppa or power klaw, or wielding a two-handed big choppa. A small squig companion and an ammo runt add further personality to the unit.

Across the kit, the Boyz combine powerful physiques with slightly more grounded proportions. Crude weapons, mismatched shoulder armour, ammunition, pouches and looted equipment capture the rough-and-ready character of Ork infantry while providing plenty of individual details to pick out while painting.

Assembly and Painting

These miniatures require assembly and are supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.

Ork Boyz are particularly enjoyable to paint because no two members of the mob need to look completely alike. Different skin tones, rusty weapons, chipped armour plates, clan colours and scavenged equipment can all be used to give the unit its own identity while keeping it visually connected to the rest of your Waaagh!

Battlefield Role

Boyz provide an Orks army with a dependable core of numerous, aggressive infantry. Equipped for both shooting and close combat, they can advance while filling the air with dakka before getting stuck into the enemy with their choppas.

Their flexible equipment makes them a natural fit for a wide variety of Ork forces, whether they are charging across the battlefield on foot or riding towards the fighting aboard a Trukk. Specialist weapons add extra firepower to the mob, while the Nob provides the imposing leader expected to keep a group of unruly Boyz moving in roughly the same direction.
