Ogor Mawtribes: Maulbeast Raiders

Maulbeast Raiders are mounted hunters who pursue their foes across the Mortal Realms. Each veteran ogor rides on a maulbeast – weakening prey with an enormous crossbow before unleashing the combined strength of rider and mount when it gets close and personal.

This multipart plastic kit builds two Maulbeast Raiders for an Ogor Mawtribes army in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Combining ranged attacks with the speed and physical presence of monstrous cavalry, they bring a different hunting style to the Beastclaw Raiders.

Assembly and Painting

The Maulbeast Raiders require assembly and are supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.

These substantial miniatures provide plenty of enjoyable painting opportunities, from the scarred hides and crude equipment of their ogor riders to the fur, teeth and muscular forms of the maulbeasts. The available customisation pieces also help give each hunter and mount an individual appearance.

Battlefield Role

Maulbeast Raiders are mobile hunters capable of attacking their prey at range before closing for a crushing charge. Their crossbows allow them to wear down selected targets. While their mounts provide the speed needed to pursue enemies and reposition across the battlefield.

Their Relentless Predators ability allows the unit to make an additional move during the enemy movement phase when it remains more than 9″ from all enemy units. This makes the Raiders particularly well suited to chasing vulnerable targets, keeping pace with retreating prey and supporting the mobile hunting style of a Beastclaw Raiders force.

For players who want imposing cavalry with both ranged capability and close-combat presence, Maulbeast Raiders make a characterful addition to an Ogor Mawtribes army.
