Warhammer Colour Liberator Gold Layer Paint provides a bright metallic gold for building highlights and definition across painted miniatures. It works particularly well over deeper gold base colours, adding a lighter metallic finish to armour, weapons, decorative trim, jewellery and ornate details.
The Layer formula supports thin, controlled applications over an established base colour. For example, Liberator Gold can brighten larger metallic areas gradually or pick out carefully selected edges and raised features. This creates a clearer metallic contrast while preserving the darker gold shading underneath.
The 12ml pot features the new Warhammer Colour branding, replacing the previous Citadel Colour presentation.
Using Liberator Gold Layer Paint
First, shake the pot thoroughly before use so the metallic pigment is evenly mixed. Next, apply Liberator Gold in thin, controlled coats over a suitable metallic base colour. Then, allow each coat to dry before adding another. Building the colour gradually helps maintain the underlying shading and produces a smoother metallic finish.
For sharper definition, use a fine brush along armour edges, weapon details, decorative trim and raised ornaments. You can also place small highlights on the most prominent points to suggest reflected light and give gold areas greater depth.
Each pot contains 12ml of water-based paint. Finally, clean brushes with water after use.
