Helbrecht: Sin of Hope by Mike Vincent follows the High Marshal of the Black Templars as he continues his crusade against the Ruinous Powers and faces an alliance that challenges his uncompromising beliefs.
What Is It?
Helbrecht: Sin of Hope is a Black Library Warhammer 40,000 novel featuring High Marshal Helbrecht, the renowned Chapter Master of the Black Templars.
Driven by a vision of an Imperium renewed, Helbrecht continues his war against the Ruinous Powers. Victory, however, may require him to accept help from a source the zealous High Marshal would normally consider an enemy.
The Story
Helbrecht must rally his Black Templars and Elysian soldiers of the Astra Militarum against the forces threatening them. When circumstances bring the Leagues of Votann into the conflict, the High Marshal is forced to consider an uneasy alliance with the Kin.
With both sides facing a common enemy, Helbrecht must decide how much he is prepared to sacrifice in pursuit of victory and whether cooperation with the Votann can be reconciled with the uncompromising creed of the Black Templars.
Why You’ll Like It
This novel places one of the Imperium’s most fervent commanders in a situation that tests more than his ability on the battlefield. Helbrecht’s determination, the martial faith of the Black Templars and their difficult relationship with the Leagues of Votann create an intriguing Warhammer 40,000 conflict.
It is an excellent choice for readers interested in the Black Templars, Space Marine leadership and stories in which duty and belief are tested by the demands of war.
