Description
Gloomspite Gitz: Squig Herd
Build a Gloomspite Gitz Squig Herd for Warhammer Age of Sigmar with this multipart plastic Games Workshop kit. The box contains 10 Squigs and 2 Squig Herders, giving you 12 miniatures in total. It includes 77 plastic components and twelve 25mm round bases. Supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are sold separately.
Squigs bring enormous mouths, powerful legs and unpredictable temperaments to the battlefield. Assembly and Painting
Choose your Squig faces and Herder designs before assembly. Carefully remove the parts from the sprue, clean mould lines and test the fit before applying plastic glue. Follow the included instructions when matching the components.
Use contrasting colours for Squig skin, teeth and mouths to make their expressions stand out. You can give the herd a consistent colour scheme or vary individual Squigs for a more chaotic appearance. Darker Herder robes and detailed cave bases help separate the Grots from the creatures around them.
Glue, paints and hobby tools are sold separately.
Tactical Use
A Squig Herd gives a Gloomspite Gitz army an aggressive melee unit for applying pressure to enemy infantry and contested objectives. Plan its approach alongside the rest of your force, then commit it where its mass of snapping jaws can make a useful impact.
Use other units to cover approaches and support the attack. Coordinating the herd with another threat can force your opponent to divide their attention, rather than concentrating everything against the Squigs.
Choose targets and charge opportunities carefully. The herd suits a plan built around offensive pressure, while other parts of your army handle supporting tasks. It also provides a natural starting point for a Squig-themed collection alongside Squig Hoppers and Squig characters.
