Warhammer Colour: Layer Pink Horror 12ml
Pink Horror Layer paint brings a rich pink tone to your miniature colour schemes. Use it to build up daemonic skin, add colour to cloth or pick out details that need a touch of pink. This 12ml pot comes in the new Warhammer Colour branding, replacing the previous Citadel Colour presentation.
The Layer formulation lets you build the colour gradually over a dry basecoat. You can leave the darker tone visible in the recesses while adding pink to the raised areas, helping the shape of the miniature stand out. It is a useful approach for everything from a single character to a whole unit of colourful creatures.
Using Pink Horror Layer paint
Thin a little paint with water on your palette and apply it in controlled layers. Allow each coat to dry before adding another so you can judge the colour as it builds. Keeping the coats thin also helps you preserve small sculpted details.
On daemonic skin, work across the raised muscles and facial features while leaving the creases darker. You can then add a lighter pink to the areas that catch the most light. Keep these final highlights smaller than the previous layer to create a gradual change in tone.
For cloth, follow the raised folds with your brush and leave the deepest areas shaded. Pink Horror can also add interest to banners, decorative trim or small accessories. Try it on a spare part first if you want to see how the pink looks alongside the other colours in your scheme.
When painting fine edges, use a brush with a neat point and avoid loading it with too much paint. A narrow line gives you more control than a broad stroke, particularly around small details. If a highlight becomes too wide, tidy the surrounding area with your previous colour and try again once it is dry.
Whether you are painting Tzeentch daemons or trying a pink accent on another model, this colour gives you room to experiment. Use it across larger areas or save it for a few details that draw the eye.
Supplied in a 12ml pot. Clean your brush with water after use.
