Description
Warhammer Colour Calgar Blue Layer Paint is a clear mid-blue made for building highlights and colour transitions across painted miniatures. It works particularly well over deeper blue base colours, adding definition to armour panels, cloth, equipment and raised details.
The Layer formula is designed for smooth, controlled applications over established base colours. Calgar Blue can be used to brighten larger areas gradually or applied more precisely to edges and prominent details, helping create a clean sense of depth without overpowering the underlying colour.
The 12ml pot features the new Warhammer Colour branding, replacing the previous Citadel Colour presentation.
Using Calgar Blue Layer Paint
Shake the pot thoroughly before use. Apply Calgar Blue in thin, controlled coats over a suitable base colour, allowing each coat to dry before adding the next. Building the colour gradually helps preserve shading while creating a smoother transition towards the highlighted areas.
For sharper definition, use a fine brush to apply Calgar Blue along armour edges, folds of fabric and other raised details. It can also be mixed or layered with lighter blues to develop brighter final highlights.
Each pot contains 12ml of water-based paint. Clean brushes with water after use.
