Description
Orks: Mek – Keep the Waaagh! Running
Ork vehicles are noisy, temperamental and held together by a questionable mixture of scrap metal and misplaced confidence. Fortunately, a Mek knows exactly how to keep them moving. This new miniature brings one of the Orks’ mechanically minded specialists to the battlefield, complete with a crane bolted to his back for conducting hasty repairs.
The Mek is packed with wonderfully ramshackle details that capture the improvised nature of Ork engineering. Tools, cables and roughly fitted machinery make the miniature an enjoyable addition to a workshop-themed collection, while his kustom mega-slugga means he can still cause trouble when the enemy gets too close.

Assembly and Painting
This miniature requires assembly and is supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue is recommended for construction, while Citadel Colour paints can be used to finish the model.
The mixture of green skin, battered metal, exposed mechanisms and roughly assembled equipment provides plenty of opportunities for weathering, rust effects and clan colours. Small details across the Mek’s tools and machinery also make him a rewarding character to paint.
Battlefield Role
Meks are battlefield “engineers” who accompany Ork warbands to keep their ramshackle machines operational. Mek’s can repair nearby vehicles and use his technical know-wotz to improve their hit rolls, making him particularly useful alongside clanking Dreads and roaring Ork vehicles.
Although primarily a support character, he is not helpless in a scrap. His kustom mega-slugga gives him a suitably dangerous weapon for dealing with enemies who interrupt his repair work.
Whether he is following a Trukk into battle or tending to a mob of Ork walkers, the Mek adds plenty of personality and practical support to a mechanised Waaagh!
